CMF Phone 1 Pricing Leaked Ahead of Indian Launch

Nothing is set to reveal the CMF Phone 1 on July 8. The company has been teasing the phone for the last week but we were missing only the price. Now, this has been leaked in a Flipkart ad.

Flipkart’s YouTube mini banner advertisement was seen by X (name changed from Twitter) user @ himawanth8, which led to the Indian sale price of CMF Phone 1 being ₹17,999. But the prices will likely drop after some discounts, as low as ₹14,999. The lower price is probably a mix of an exchange bonus and a bank/card discount offer.

This style of discounting is not unheard of. While with the Nothing Phone 2(a), there is no such teaser, rather an introductory sale price of ₹19,999 using this same approach. The advertisement also indicates that the first sale for CMF Phone 1 will begin at 12:00 PM on July 12.

To sum up, the CMF Phone 1 will come with a Dimensity 7300 SoC and features a dual rear camera setup (50 MP main + 2MP depth sensor) along with support for a massive battery capacity rating at around under 5000 mAh.

Its biggest standout feature is its replaceable rear panel on the phone. With the CMF Phone 1, users can detach and attach a new appealing back panel. CMF Phone 1 will be sold in Black, Blue, Light Green, and Orange with interchangeable back panels. The back side of the panel has a kind of dial for hooking up accessories such as lanyards. For the display, there will be a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED panel with support for up to 120Hz refresh rate and up to peak brightness of 2000 nits.

Given the leaked price, the CMF Phone 1 seems competitively priced, potentially undercutting some competitors. Additional back covers and attachments, sold separately, are likely to help offset the lower-than-expected phone cost. For those not interested in purchasing accessories, the CMF Phone 1 could still offer tremendous value.
