CMF Phone 1 to Feature 50-Megapixel Main Camera; Design Details Revealed

The CMF Phone 1 will be launched in India alongside the CMF Buds Pro 2 and CFM Watch Pro 2. The company has been teasing the design and specs of the new smartphone for several days including a hint that suggested it might have a removable back cover. It has now shown off the design for its rear camera module and confirmed specifics on the main cam. This is the first mobile release for CMF.

The post on X further goes to suggest that the CMF device will also have a dual rear camera module. The teaser also hints the module will be housed by a vertical, pill-shaped enclosure in the top left corner of its back panel. The sensors (in two separate circles) are vertically stacked in this module.

The rear camera module of the CMF Phone 1 looks like it protrudes slightly from its glossy panel and is a different color than that specific section. The earlier teaser hinted at a removable back plate, but unknown if it’s just for appearance or to make repairs easier with access to the battery and other internals.

The post also confirms that the CMF Phone 1 will come with a 50-megapixel Sony sensor combined with an f/1.8 lens and Ultra XDR support. Teasers have already confirmed an in-display fingerprint reader and a 5,000mAh battery on the phone with up to two days of life or as many as 22 hours worth of watching YouTube videos.

The CMF Phone 1 will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 5G SoC paired with 8GB of RAM, expandable virtually by an additional 8GB. It will feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with up to a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and a peak brightness of 2,000 nits. Additionally, the phone is expected to include a 16-megapixel front camera sensor and an IP52-rated build. It is likely to be priced under ₹20,000 in India and will be available for purchase via Flipkart.
