Redmi 14C 5G Spotted on IMEI Database: Global Launch Imminent

The Redmi 13C 5G was announced by the Chinese company in December 2023, and soon the time will come for its successor to enter the stage – we are of course talking about none other than the Redmi 14C. Not only that Xiaomi already appears to be planning on announcing the device sooner than December, hinting at an IMEI database listing. That said, Xiaomi does seem to be targeting a wider reach with its successor to the Redmi 13C.

The Upcoming Redmi 14C 5G

IMEI database listings reveal various Redmi 14C model numbers, including “2411DRN47G” which likely represents a global variant, along with “2411DRN47R” (probably for Japan), “2411DRN47I” (for India), and “2411DRN47C” which stands for China. The Redmi 14C is a noteworthy release, as it will be the first time a Redmi C-series phone has been officially announced in Japan, hinting at Xiaomi’s market expansion plans on this model.

After Japan, the Redmi 14C will be available in China, India, and other international markets around the world, hinting at a wider reach than its predecessor. The exact specifications of the Redmi 14C are still unknown but we are expecting it to bring notable upgrades over its predecessor, the Redmi 13C.

The screen size is 6.74 inches and the resolution HD+, the refresh rate is 90 Hz, protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 but it does not have a cutout for the front camera. The Redmi 13C is also based on the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset (the latter comes with 5G), features up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage (can be expanded via a separate microSD card slot). It boots MIUI 14 on top of Android 13 and provides a user-friendly experience.

The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging which should provide long hours of use. On the connectivity front, Realme GT 2 Pro will likely offer support for 5G/4G, dual SIM, WiFi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.3, and a 3.5mm audio jack and GPS etc. In terms of photography, the Redmi 13C offers a 50MP primary rear camera unit paired with a 5MP front snapper for selfies and video calls.

Overall, Xiaomi’s upcoming Redmi 14C promises to build upon the strengths of its predecessor while expanding its reach to new markets, setting the stage for another competitive offering in the mid-range smartphone segment.
