Apple introduced its first 5G enabled iPhone lineup i.e. iPhone 12 series on 13th October this month. This lineup includes four models – iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max. Within this short time period, the company opened its pre-booking counter in maximum of the countries and also started shipping those units in some places. Taiwan is one of those.
Now, the problem is the telecom and channel operators in Taiwan are facing a shortage in iPhone 12 series supply when they started delivering the pre-registered orders on 24th October. As per the market sources, this problem will be sorted out within the next two weeks.
The sources further explained that a huge replacement demand and the effect of the pandemic on the supply processes are the main reasons behind this condition. On top of that, the assembly process also delayed due to the labour shortage and slow production rate.
All the major assemblers of iPhones – Foxconn Electronics, Pegatron, and all are trying their utmost to accelerate the production as much and as early as possible.
In India, the entire iPhone 12 series is listed on Amazon and Flipkart as well as on Apple’s official online store. As per the company, the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro will be available in India from 30th October, and the rest of the two models will come on sale from 13th November.
