Oppo is expected to launch new A-series smartphones soon, as the phones have been listed on several certifications. The Oppo A3, Oppo A3x, and Oppo A3 Pro was recently seen on Thailand NBTC, Google Play Console, as well as Malaysia SIRIM certification sites and UAE TDRA sites. Said A series smartphones have just appeared in an FCC test report (pictured below).
The Leaked Oppo A3 and Oppo A3x
The test report mentions that the CPH2641, CPH2669, and CPH3669 smartphones have common hardware and software, and only differ in terms of memory and rear camera specs. Both CPH2641 (Oppo A3x) & CPH2669 (Oppo A3) have just been certified by Singapore IMDA. The third model number is not identified, but this looks like another A-series phone. It must be noted, however, that THIS information comes with a bit of caution.
According to the technical details given in the report, the Oppo A3 smartphone will come with Android 14-based ColorOS 14 and feature a 4970mAh battery (5100mAh advertised) with 45W SUPERVOOC charging. According to a press release from TENAA, the Oppo A3x has 4GB RAM and 128GB native storage, as does the also rumored Oppo A3. A third model, however, will get bumped to 8GB RAM and provide 256GB native storage.
The Oppo A3x will come with an 8MP camera on the back, and the remaining two phones will come with a 50MP front camera. Additionally, the Oppo A3 will be a 4G phone with WiFi 5 support and dual SIM capability. The Oppo A3 has also appeared on the EEC and FCC certification websites alongside the Oppo A3x.
The Oppo A3x has also received TUV certification, confirming it will have a 4970mAh battery with 45W charging, similar to the Oppo A3. The FCC report included a schematic of a smartphone that seems to belong to either the Oppo A3 or A3x. The image shows a 4G smartphone with 2G/3G/4G support and 2.4G/5G WiFi/Bluetooth connectivity.
