The Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro could launch in July. The devices recently showed up on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification website, indicating an imminent launch in the country. Although the BIS listing for the Galaxy Buds 3 (SM-R530) and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro (SM-R630) seem to suggest that the two models are just around the corner, it does not reveal much about the earbuds.
The Upcoming Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro
The firm has been said to extend Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), Adaptive EQ, and other improvements to the Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, which should also be rated IP57. The Galaxy Buds 3 could have a battery life of 6 hours of playtime (5 hours with ANC).
Battery life on the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro would be 7 hours for normal (while ANC is expected to provide 6 hours of battery life). The battery life of Galaxy Buds 2 would be much lower than that of Galaxy Buds 2 and Galaxy Buds 2 Pro which are 7.5 hours and 8 hours respectively (both have 5 hours with ANC).
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Buds 3 are expected to be a conventional single-driver set, while the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro would pack a dual-driver setup. A water-friendly IP57 dust and water resistance is also expected to headline both new models, up from the IPX2 and IPX7 ratings of the predecessors. Speculation suggests that the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro will include a feature called ‘Blade Lights,’ potentially related to LED lighting. Both models might also support 360 Audio (Spatial Audio), SmartThings Find, and Bluetooth v5.4.
Design-wise, the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro could differ from previous models, possibly featuring a stem design similar to the AirPods Pro. An alleged leaked image hints at this new design. These details are based on rumors and speculation, but the earbuds are expected to be unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked event in July alongside the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and other products. Stay tuned for more updates.
