Border 2, a sequel to the 1997 film of the same title, is expected to hit theaters in January of the upcoming year.
According to a report from Pinkvilla, the movie, featuring Sunny Deol and Ayushmann Khurrana, “has been in the writing phase for over a year, and the team has successfully developed a script.”

Additionally, they announced that Ayushmann Khurrana would be a fresh addition to the franchise, portraying a substantial character within the Indian Armed Forces. Later updates disclosed that Border 2 would be directed by acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Singh.

Producers Bhushan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, along with director Anurag Singh, are aiming for a release on Friday, January 23, 2026, leading up to the Republic Day holiday on Monday, January 26, 2026.
