Samsung is developing a new smartphone with the codename R12, according to Galaxy Club. It is thought that this model number is associated with the Galaxy S24 FE, based on the codename patterns of earlier DIY devices.
Galaxy S24 FE rumored details
The Galaxy S23 FE had model number R11 in it. Relative to the R9 is the Galaxy S21 FE, while relative to the Galaxy S20 FE is the R8. Although the phone has not received much attention, the Galaxy S22 FE is reportedly codenamed R10.
According to a source, Samsung is not eager to discontinue the Galaxy S24 FE flagship smartphone. According to what we know about past Fan Edition device names, the phone is already known by the codename R12.
Not much more is known at this time. Nevertheless, GalaxyClub predicts that the Galaxy S24 FE will launch later this year based on past release schedules. After the initial launch window, there may be further expansion or wider distribution in early 2025. Once more, this is consistent with Samsung’s handling of the Galaxy S23 FE marketing campaign.
We also hope that the Galaxy S24 FE comes with a single chipset that works in every area. While US consumers receive the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 platform, other areas use the 4nm Exynos 2200 in the S23 FE. Performance differences exist between Samsung’s in-house Exynos SoCs and Qualcomm’s processors.
The base Samsung Galaxy S24 versions will share most of the other specifications, which is not a terrible thing because those phones are still fantastic. With this gadget, a plethora of Galaxy AI features should also be available for use. I am eager to see how everything works out.
