Today, Meta has unveiled a new artificial intelligence assistant Meta AI, which is available at no cost to users of Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger. Meta AI is an advanced chatbot that reflects Llama 3, the most sophisticated AI model issued by Meta and intends to oppose ChatGPT by OpenAI and Gemini by Google.

The All New Meta AI

Meta AI is a virtual assistant that is capable of answering a vast spectrum of queries: from clarifying doubts and building itineraries to suggesting places to visit and regular coding practices. It may generate and animate photographs as well, which introduces a creative aspect to using it. With the inherent integration of Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Messenger, Meta AI is a potent competitor for other AI assistants.

For privacy, users can chat with Meta AI by creating dedicated chats on WhatsApp through which no one else sees the user’s discussion. On Instagram DMs, the users only need to turn on by tagging @MetaAI, and enables full access without limiting other features the way apps have to restrict access. On Facebook, after viewing a post, the user can click on the share to then choose and click the truth to ask more, and Meta AI will provide more information about the source or topic.

it can also be accessed via the desktop option whereby a user signs in using their Facebook account on the meta.ai domain. Currently, it only operates in the English language and is solely available in some countries including the United States, Australia, Canada, Ghana, Jamaica, Malawi, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, Singapore, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. However, its scope is expected to widen to include more countries shortly.

Although some reports note that it is not yet accessible in India, a small percentage of WhatsApp users on the beta version have access to the AI, implying that it will soon be available to all Indians. Broadly speaking, Meta AI’s introduction cements Meta’s dedication to integrating AI technology across its platform, providing the consumer with extensive guidance.
