Fallout suckers eagerly awaiting the Fallout London mod for Fallout 4 will have to stay a little longer. This ambitious total conversion mod, promising a sprawling post-apocalyptic London wasteland, has been hit with another detention, but this time, it’s not the fault of the devoted mudding crew.

Star field’s Shadow and a New Release Date

The first detention came strategically. The mod crew, known as Team FOLON, wisely decided to avoid launching alongside Bethesda’s forthcoming spacefaring RPG, Starfield.

An analogous release window could have divided the player base, potentially overshadowing Fallout London’s debut. This strategic move handed precious redundant development time, allowing the crew to further polish their work.

With Starfield out of the picture, a new release date was set for a thematically befitting occasion Saint George’s Day, April 23rd, 2024. Excitement mounted as suckers envisaged exploring a desolate Big Ben and navigating the post-apocalyptic Thames.

Bethesda’s Update Throws a Wrench in the Plans

Unfortunately, fate, or maybe Bethesda’s update schedule, had other plans. The news of a forthcoming Fallout 4 update listed for April 25th threw a wrench into Team FOLON’s strictly planned launch. While the update itself offered positive changes, including widescreen support and bug fixes, it also posed a significant trouble it could break core functionalities within the Fallout London mod.

Why the Fallout London is delayed?

A Painful Delay, But Necessary design Lead Dean Carter, also known as Prilladog, expressed the crew’s disappointment” This pains us. Actually, it really, really hurts us.” Their strictly drafted release seeker had to be remitted as they braced for the ineluctable comity issues. The update’s impact on the mod was simply non-negotiable.

Translucency and a Hopeful Future Team FOLON prioritizes translucency. They admit the frustration the detention causes but emphasize their commitment to a smooth launch. Carter assures suckers,” We’ve to take it down because it’ll break. As soon as those fixes are done we can get it back over again, but those fixes are outside of our control.”

The crew is devoted to nippy action on their end.” We’ll fix everything on our side as fast as humanly possible,” Carter confirms. Still, the core functionality fixes calculate on Bethesda’s update.

A Release Date in Limbo

Given the query girding the update’s implicit impact, Team FOLON has decided against a new, definitive release date. A day- one fix for the mod is a possibility, but doubtful. The delay could extend to a month.

The tableware filling? Team FOLON assures suckers that the mod is” sitting there ready to go” and will be released as soon as comity is established.

Distribution Challenges and a GOG Solution

Fallout London’s distribution also faced hurdles. A lack of communication with Bethesda meant a standalone release was not doable. Also, the sheer size of the mod, clocking in at a stunning 30- 40 GB, exceeded the capacity of popular mudding platforms like Nexus Mods. Still, a result surfaced.

The tech crew at GOG came to the deliverance, contriving a system for Fallout London to be downloaded by anyone who owns Fallout 4 on GOG, Steam, or indeed the Epic Games Store.

A Long- Awaited Adventure on Hold the detention is really frustrating, but it highlights the fidelity of Team FOLON. Their commitment to a polished and functional experience necessitates this pause. Suckers can take solace in the knowledge that the mod is nearing completion and the delay, while extended, will hopefully lead to a further flawless and pleasurable post-apocalyptic London experience.
