The SE line of phones uses designs from earlier iPhone models. The original model was modeled after the iPhone 5s, and the 2020 and 2022 SE variants were larger, with a body similar to the iPhone 6-8. It’s time to take a look forward in the designs of Apple phones. Renders of the iPhone SE 4 from just a month ago revealed an iPhone 14-based design; now, pictures of a metal prototype support that theory.
iPhone SE 4 to have a similar design to iPhone 14 details
The rumor that the iPhone SE 4 would use the same design as the iPhone 14 series is not new, and it most likely won’t be the last. Last month, CAD-based renders of the device were revealed. Often, the first indication of a phone case’s design comes from leaked photos. With the next iPhone SE, this is the situation.
On the right edge is where you’ll find the power key. A single camera sensor will be housed in a horizontal, pill-shaped camera module on the back panel, according to the leaked case. Additionally, a cutout for an LED flash unit is present.
It is worthy of note that Ming-Chi Kuo stated back in 2022 that the release of the Apple iPhone SE 4 would not happen until 2024. However, current reports from Korea indicate that the next model may arrive in 2025, thus perhaps that should read “at least until 2024.” Having said that, we might not need to wait until next year if case makers are already getting ready to start manufacturing.
The iPhone SE 4 will in fact have a similar design to the iPhone 14, according to the leaked dummy case unit. The left side’s mute switch and volume button have been ripped out. It remains to be seen if Apple will swap out the action button on the iPhone 15 Pro models for the later.
