Tipster Sonny Dickson leaked a photo of two smartphone cases on X, formerly known as Twitter. The case’s left side appears to be slightly larger than the right, suggesting that it is for the iPhone 16 Plus, and the right side is likely the cover for the standard model. Both models have the plastic cutout for the LED flash, which is located right next to the camera island, and the vertical rear camera hump.
iPhone 16 Cases Spotted Online details
Apple may have taken inspiration from previous iPhone models, including the iPhone X, for the current prototype, which has the same setup with two distinct camera rings for the Wide and Ultra Wide cameras, enclosed under a pill-shaped elevated surface. The camera flash is situated outside of the hump on the back of the gadget, while the microphone is positioned near to the lenses.
It is anticipated that Apple will include spatial video recording into the normal iPhone 16 and 16 Plus devices, given the vertical camera configuration. Only the iPhone 15 Pro models and the Vision Pro headset are capable of capturing spatial video; the current iPhone 15 models have a diagonal camera layout.
A recent photograph, also posted by the same tipster, seems to show the rumored iPhone 16 Pro model with a cutout for what appears to be the Capture button on Apple’s future top phone. Later this year, the company’s high-end smartphones may come in four different color variations, according to leaked information about the color selections for the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.
