Samsung has just introduced the Galaxy M55 5G the addition to its mid-range M series smartphone lineup in Brazil after speculation. This new device features a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, to its predecessor but it stands out by switching from the Exynos 1380 to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC.

With 8GB of RAM, the Galaxy M55 5G ensures seamless multitasking. Its impressive camera setup includes a 50MP camera with OIS and VDIS features an 8MP wide lens and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies, users can rely on the device’s quality facing a 50MP camera.
Running on Android version 14 with One UI version 6, Samsung promises longevity by committing to provide four generations of Android updates and five years of security updates for this device. The introduction of Samsung Knox Vault brings a hardware-based security solution to the M series lineup. Featuring an in-display fingerprint scanner and powered by a battery the Galaxy M55 supports fast charging up to 45W. A first for the M series. It’s important to note that the charger is not included in the package.
When looking at the details the Galaxy M55 comes with a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Plus Infinity O Display that offers a 120Hz rate and can reach, up to 1000 nits of brightness. Inside it runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Mobile Platform with an Adreno 644 GPU, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage that can be expanded up to 1TB using a microSD card.
Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C, and NFC. Audio enthusiasts will appreciate the inclusion of USB Type-C audio and Dolby Atmos support.
Available in Dark Blue and Green colors, the Galaxy M55 is priced at 3,199 Brazilian Real for the 8GB + 256GB version, with a 200 Real discount during the sale period. Additionally, Samsung has introduced the Galaxy M15 5G in Brazil, which is essentially a rebranded version of the Galaxy F15 5G, recently launched in India.
