India thrashed Japan 8-0 in hockey at the Asian Games

Indian men’s hockey team defeated Japan 8-0. SV Sunil, Dilpreet, Vivek Sagar, Akashdeep all got on the score sheet. While Mandeep and Rupinder Pal recorded braces against an underwhelming Japan.

 

Rupinder scored his 51st goal for India and at the end of Day 6, India won seven medals in the day to take their tally to 25!

Here are the events in which India won medals on Day 6:

  • Gold: Mens Quadruple Sculls (Rowing), Mens doubles (tennis)
  • Silver: Womens kabaddi team
  • Bronze: Mens Lightweight Doubles Sculls, Mens Lightweight Single Sculls (Rowing), Heena Sidhu (10m air pistol), Prajnesh Gunneswaran (Mens Singles Tennis)

Sourav Ghosal, Dipika Pallikal and Joshna Chinnappa have also assured three medals in squash by reach the semi-finals of their respective singles round.

 

 

India beat Japan 8-0 in the Pool A hockey match. It was an another big win for them, after their 17-0 win over Indonesia and 26-0 win against Hong Kong.
