Alleged Hacking On The Epic Games

We all know what happened with Insomniac a few months ago. A hacker group claimed to hack the data and leak it. From time to time, we hear one thing or another about Insomniac by the hackers as a leak.

And it seems like now the turn is on Epic Games, as hackers claim to be hacking on the Epic Games. Let’s get to the story from the beginning.

A ransomware group has claimed to have hacked into Epic Games and stolen nearly 200 GB of data. This is reported by Cyber Daily: ransomware gang Mogilevich, a relative newcomer in the case, claims to have attacked Epic Games’ servers.

In this hacking on the Epic Games, they have stolen almost 189 gigabytes of data, including email, full name, passwords, payment information, source code, and many more.

Also, they have put the stolen data for sale; well, that’s another thing for which no price is mentioned. However, the deadline is set for March 4, which is close.

On this claim of hacking on Epic Games, the studio has provided a statement to Eurogamers that an investigation is underway. However, there is no evidence from the hacker’s side to prove this claim.

When Epic Games asked for proof, the hacker’s group was unable to provide it. So Epic Games has commented that this claim is false and that their data is safe and secure.

But, till now, the company hasn’t come up with an official statement, so to be on the safe side, it will be good to change your Epic Games password. Although this is not the first time a game development studio has been hacked,.

We all know about the Insomniac incident, and before that year, it was CAPCOM when the data regarding the timeline for future titles and other information was made public. However, in the case of hacking on the Epic Games, there is still some benefit to doubt.
