Yakuza: Like a Dragon is coming slightly earlier to Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Windows 10, PlayStation 4, and Steam on November 10. All thanks to the next-gen Xbox console which made it to release three days before the actual release date.
The game was originally set to release on November 13 but, Sega, the publisher of Yakuza: Like a Dragon, decided to bring forth the release date to align it with the release of Xbox Series X and S consoles on November 10.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon is the eighth main release in the Yakuza series. It is a single-player role-playing video game promised to be a bit different than previous games in the series. The new Yakuza will come with a turn-based RPG type combat and a four-person battle team that will support you in fights. Like previous games in the Yakuza series, there will be side-quests that can be taken up by the player to gain additional rewards and will be able to enjoy the various side actions around the map such as karaoke. A new side activity presented in this game is Dragon Kart, which is quite identical to other kart racing games in terms of its gameplay.
The game is all set in Yokohama rather than Tokyo. It features a new lead character, Ichiban Kasuga, a junior member of the Tojo Clan’s Arakawa Family, who spends 18 years of his life in prison covering for a murderer that he didn’t commit. He took the murder’s blame, hoping that this will make him a hero in the Tojo Clan and keen to honor an untitled “debt” he owes his patriarch named Masumi Arakawa. After 18 years, when he got released from prison, he discovers that nobody recognizes him, and no one from his family is even waiting to meet him. He goes to confront Arakawa and got shot by him in the chest, and after that old Yakuza stuff, he survives the shot and seeks justice, power, and revenge.
The synopsis of the story seems to be thrilling with a classic crime tale set up just like the previous Yakuza series. We hope this one too to perform well in all the platforms.
