Xiaomi has officially confirmed the much-anticipated release of its upcoming flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, putting an end to the swirling rumors. The official unveiling is scheduled to happen at a ceremony, in China on February 22nd.
After this debut, the phone will have its introduction on February 25th during the company’s MWC 2024 event, where it will also present models from the Xiaomi 14 series globally after their initial launch in China last year.
The Upcoming Xiaomi 14 Ultra
Recent leaks of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra shared in a report give us a sneak peek into what we can expect from the device design. The front display features a design with subtle curves at the edges complemented by thin bezels and a slim chin. There are speculations that suggest the phone might sport a 2.5D quad micro curved screen and have a hole punch slot at the center for the camera. Previous leaks from the source have also shown images of the panel of the device.
In terms of pricing, reports mention that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra could be priced at EUR 1,499 (around ₹1,33,600) for its 16GB + 512GB RAM and storage configuration. While initial reports indicate one setup only there were rumors about choices such, as 12GB + 256GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB variants.
Adding to the excitement there is a Xiaomi gadget identified by the model number 24031PN0DC that has been sighted on China’s MIIT certification website. There is growing speculation that this might be the anticipated Xiaomi 14 Ultra model. Rumors suggest that it will come with 5G support and satellite features although there is still uncertainty, about whether it will support two-way calling or just satellite messaging.
Regarding its internals, previous leaks suggest that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra may be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and run on HyperOS based on Android 14. Display-wise, it’s expected to boast a stunning 6.7-inch 2K AMOLED screen. The camera setup is rumored to include a powerful 50-megapixel quad rear unit, while a robust 5,180mAh battery is said to keep things running, supported by 90W wired and 50W wireless charging capabilities.
