Brighton have completed the signing of young Ghanaian attacker Ibrahim Osman for a fee worth €19.5 million, as reported by several sources. The youngster will make the move in the summer, after spending the remainder of the season with Nordsjælland in Norway. He has already completed the medical for the move and will officially sign the contract imminently, finalising the transfer.

The youngster was originally a part of the Right to Dream Academy in Ghana, and follows the same career path as Simon Andingra, who also played for Nordsjælland after the Right to Dream academy.

Aged 19, the youngster made his debut for the Norwegian club last season, scoring two goals in 27 appearances. He was pursued by a number of clubs in Norway and across Europe, but Brighton have won the race to sign him and will welcome him at the end of the season.

At the heart of Osman’s playing style lies his electrifying speed, which allows him to leave defenders trailing in his wake. Whether making piercing runs behind the defensive line or driving at opponents with the ball at his feet, his acceleration and agility make him a constant menace to opposing backlines.

In addition to his speed, Osman showcases impressive technical prowess, enabling him to navigate through tight spaces and evade challenges with ease. His close control and dribbling ability often leave defenders flat-footed, creating openings for both himself and his teammates in the final third.

Osman’s attacking instincts are further complemented by his clinical finishing ability. Whether with precise strikes from distance or composed finishes in one-on-one situations, he possesses the composure and confidence necessary to convert chances into goals consistently.

The Seagulls also completed the signing of Argentine left-back Valentin Barco from Boca Juniors and winger Adrian Mazilu from Romanian side FCV Varul in the January transfer window.
