Vinesh Phogat, the first Indian female wrestler to clinch Gold Medal in Asian Games 2018
Young Indian female wrestler created history on the second day of Asian Games 2018 as she won the first-ever gold for India in the history of the tournament. She defeated Yuki Irie the Japanese wrestler by a margin of 6-2 in the 50kg women’s freestyle wrestling. The Indian Wrestler played one of the best matches in her life and was unstoppable during the match. She earned some important points at the starting of the game due to which she won the match. Yuki could never make a comeback in the match she scored one early point and the other in the last few seconds of the game.
The Champ received wishes from all around the world including her own sister Geeta phogat who is a freestyle wrestler.
The three sisters Geeta, Babita and Vinesh, have represented India for wrestling and Won Medals for the Country. Geeta and Vinesh were coached by Mahavir Singh Phogat who is very happy with Vinesh’s performance. These three sisters have given much to their country to be remembered for and will definitely be an inspiration for the upcoming generation.
