The thing that makes this upgrade interesting is that AMD, with the latest Hawk Point, brings better AI performance to the table. So, with this latest upgrade in Win Max 2 Handheld, users can expect enhanced AI performance on their handheld PC gaming consoles.

You should know here that AMD’s Hawk Point APUs are really terrific when it comes to increased AI performance. They can even offer up to 16 TOPs, which is pretty impressive.

As you may know, the previous handheld PC or gaming console market was dominated by AMD’s Ryzen 7040 and Ryzen Z1 APUs. These were based on the Phoenix silicon and a great thing earlier.

However, now it seems that the trend as well as the market are changing. Now, it seems that there is a bit of inclination towards Team Red’s Ryzen 8040 APUs. And this is so because they are very compatible with existing platforms.

And that’s not all; we are even expecting their launch just next month. However, here it is mentioned that GPD is not the first one to launch such upgrades.

The first spot has already been grabbed by AYANEO, with its new APU family. However, their products are a bit more unique than GPD’s.

Talking about the features that you can expect from GPD’s Win Max 2 Handheld, it will have AMD’s Ryzen 7 8840U AI, the successor to the Ryzen 7 7840U.

To specify, you can think of the APU as very similar to its Phoenix counterpart. But there is a key difference that makes the change.

The difference is that the Win Max 2 Handheld has an XDNA AI engine that makes the Ryzen 7 8840U a bit ahead in AI workloads. This ensures better AI performance during the gaming experience.

However, to be specific, there is not that much difference in the gaming quality. In addition, GPD, in its Win Max 2 Handheld, has ramped up the existing memory to a massive 32 GB.

This is in light of making the gaming console future–proof as they want to fulfill Microsoft’s 16 GB requirement. But this doesn’t mean that the device upgraded around Microsoft’s requirements. In the future, as we can estimate the storage needs will rise, and this device will be relevant then too.
