Redmi has recently migrated from its X series of smart TVs to its sub-brand of A series. The company has made its A55 smart TV available to its Chinese buyers with a release date of September 30.
The new television comes in different sizes: 32-inch, 43-inch,50-inch, and 65-inch.
Initially, the Redmi A55 had an attractive price tag of 1,999 yuan. But Xiaomi has temporarily slashed the price to 1,777 yuan. This according to the reports is done in order to provide the company a chance to compete against its rivals such as Honor and against its own X55 set.
The new Smart TV from Xiaomi operated with Android-based MIUI for TV, it offers 4K Ultra HD at 2840 x 2160 DPI.
The Smart TV packs 1.5GB of RAM and also comes with 8GB of internal storage. The device powered by the MediaTek 9632 quad-core processor. While sporting Stereo Speakers, the Smart TV is claimed to offer more immersive sound, along with DTS decoding support.
When it comes to providing immersive sound Xiaomi doesn’t leave any stones unturned. The new Redmi TV A55 is equipped with surround sound and stereo called “Mi Sound” which is created by Xiaomi itself.
Smart TV also comes with MIUI for TV capability. It allows integrating the smart tv with or smartphone and also with the rest of smart home products.
Xiaomi has improved the accessibility of Smart TV and has introduced a new Minimalist Mode. This mode offers the elderly to navigate the TV interface more easily.
The Smart TV runs on MIUI operating system can also be used to control smart home devices. This can be done using voice commands.
It also comes with 2x USB, 2x HDMI, and S/PDIF ports. As of now, Xiaomi’s latest Redmi Smart TV A55 is launched only in China. But with the features, it is offering it is sure to become popular in the global market.
