Who is Aoora?
Aoora, whose birth name is Park Min-jun, initially gained fame as a member of the South Korean boy band Double-A and its subunit Aoora&Hoik. His musical journey led him to explore different genres, and he found popularity in India with a unique mashup featuring Salman Khan’s hit song “Swag Se Swagat.”
The South Korean artist has not only captured the hearts of K-pop enthusiasts but has also made a mark in the Indian music scene. Recently, Aoora released K-pop versions of iconic Bollywood hits from the Eighties, such as “Auva Auva” and “Jimmy Jimmy,” originally composed by the legendary Bappi Lahiri, under the prestigious label Saregama.

In a conversation with Rolling Stone India, Aoora expressed his fascination with Indian music, stating, “I became familiar with Indian music almost a year back when I first heard the ‘Cham Cham’ song. I felt the energy of Indian songs – not just Bollywood but also Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi – matched with my energy and liking. I started exploring more Indian music. I wanted to explore a music genre where I could bring both Indian and K-pop music elements together.” This fusion of cultural influences promises to bring a unique flavor to Bigg Boss 17.
Apart from his musical endeavors, Aoora has also ventured into the Indian concert scene, holding performances that further showcase his love for the country’s diverse music landscape.
