New Ryzen 5 3500 & 3500X are the new budget CPUs by AMD

Its been a year since AMD launched their revolutionary Ryzen 3000 desktop CPUs and since then the Red team has never looked back, they were already dominating in sales, after the 7nm debut, AMD started dominating the market share as well. Intel who enjoyed a lion’s share even in 2017, when the first Ryzen CPU was launched, was nowhere near AMD in April 2020 Mindfactory(a German retail outlet) CPU sales.

Now, it turns out after the launch of 10th Gen Intel Comet Lake-S desktop CPU sales, Intel did gather some amount of customers, not enough to overturn the market which is still dominated by the Red team. As per August 2020 CPU sales, thanks to the likes of the Redditor @ingebor who have posted the chart which clearly shows that AMD has an 84% share thanks to the likes of its Ryzen 3000 XT, Ryzen 3000 & Ryzen 2000 CPU sales.

AMD now enjoys a wide variety of high-end desktop CPUs, budget APUs and mid-range CPUs that help them give every consumer the CPU they want to go with. However, if you go by sales figure, AMD has constantly enjoyed a steady 25,000 units that are driven by the likes of its best-selling CPUs like Ryzen 5 3600, Ryzen 5 3600X, Ryzen 7 3700X, and Ryzen 9 3900X.

On the other hand, Intel has generously got some market share after April steadily, getting as much as 16% market share thanks to the likes of Core i5-9400F, Core i9-9900K and Core i5-10600K. This itself says a lot about people’s choice whether be it for domestic or professional use, AMD is still ruling with its Ryzen 3000 CPUs even after a year.

If this was not enough for Intel, AMD is dropping the Zen 3 bomb next month with new Ryzen 4000 Vermeer CPUs on October 8, mark your calender, AMD’s reply to Intel’s 10th Gen is coming!
