Recently, some interesting news was revealed by one of the few smartphone manufacturers attempting to take on Samsung in the foldable phone industry. Oppo has now stated that it has certified its Find N3 Flip and Find N3 foldable devices for one million folds, which is more than Samsung’s Z Flip and Fold devices, by TUV Rheinland.
Oppo claims its foldable phones can endure one million folds details
It’s interesting to note that the Find N3 Flip’s rating of 600,000 folds was stated by the manufacturer when the device was introduced in August. However, the company claimed that both smartphones are approved for one million folds (each) following the October unveiling of the Find N3, the OnePlus Open clone.
It’s not quite apparent why this rating has changed. There’s no information on the subject, therefore maybe the technique has changed. Perhaps overestimated when it stated 600,000 folds and the phones exceeded expectations at TUV Rheinland.
Samsung, on the other hand, rates the robustness of its foldable phones using a different certification authority. Samsung officially certified the Galaxy Z Flip 5 for 200,000 folds in association with Bureau Veritas.
The Oppo Find N3 series should outperform the Galaxy Z lineup in durability testing and over time if the test procedures employed by Oppo and Samsung are comparable. in lab circumstances, at the very least.
It is noteworthy that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5 have an IPX8 water resistance rating in actuality, while Oppo’s foldables are only IPX4 splash-resistant. Though Oppo boasts remarkable 1-million-fold promises, Samsung’s foldable phones may last longer in real-world scenarios because to their stronger IP rating than the Find N3 series.
