Hero MotoCorp, the manufacturer of two-wheelers, in India, recently revealed two scooters at the 2023 EICMA Show in Milan, which is a significant milestone for the company. The main attraction of the event was Heros offering, the Xoom 160 ADV maxi scooter well as the Xoom 125. Both models are now moving into production after completing their testing phase.

The introduction of the Xoom 160 is a breakthrough for Hero since it’s their first scooter with a 160cc engine. This premium option addresses the demand for displacement engines and improved performance filling a gap in Heros product range.
Marketed as the “SUV of 2W”. Hailed as the “Champion of Off beat Rides ” the Xoom 160 showcases attention to detail in its build quality and component selection. It is expected to have potential in terms of exports in markets like Europe where Hero already has a presence. Equipped with an engine mated to a CVT transmission the Xoom 160 directly competes with rivals such, as Yamaha Aerox 155.
Some notable features of this scooter are its twin-pod headlights and full LED lighting. It also has a windscreen, a floorboard, without steps, and a fuel tank mounted on the spine. The under-seat storage is spacious. The seating arrangement is comfortable. Practical additions like a luggage rack and an optional top box make it more convenient. The scooter also comes with technology, including a TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity for music and navigation control.
In terms of safety, the Xoom 160 offers enhanced features such, as single-channel ABS and disc brakes at both ends. With its production-ready appearance, the Xoom 160 is poised for a potential launch in 2024.
In addition, Hero has responded to the need, for a 125cc scooter by introducing the Xoom 125 at the EICMA Show. This scooter is designed to compete with TVS‘ Ntorq 125. Represents an upscale version of Hero’s existing Xoom 110. The Xoom 125 features a design that includes LED headlights turn indicators and stylish character lines giving it a look. It also comes equipped with an instrument cluster that supports Bluetooth connectivity and navigation features enhancing the overall riding experience. Heros’s decision to introduce this high-end 125cc scooter aligns with the increasing market demand for scooters with features.
