Formula 1 Live Broadcast: Formula 1 racing is a sport of speed, precision, and thrilling competition that has captivated fans around the world for decades. In India, passionate motorsport enthusiasts have always relied on Star Sports Network and Disney+Hotstar to catch the high-octane action of Formula 1.

However, as the 2023 season approaches, fans in India have been hit with surprising news – no more Star Sports Network or Disney+Hotstar for live broadcasts or streaming. Instead, they’ll have to turn to Formula 1 TV Pro to get their adrenaline fix. But with the new platform comes new subscription rates that have left many F1 fans in India both excited and apprehensive.

Let’s have a look into more details: Formula 1 Live Broadcast

For years, Star Sports Network was the go-to destination for Formula 1 fans in India. It brought the exhilarating races to living rooms, allowing fans to witness every twist and turn, overtake, and dramatic finish. Disney+Hotstar, the popular streaming platform, extended the accessibility, enabling fans to enjoy the races on their devices. However, that era has come to an end. Hotstar did not renew the streaming rights for Formula 1, leading to the removal of all F1-related content from its website and app. This significant shift left fans in disbelief.

Introducing Formula 1 TV Pro

In place of traditional broadcasting, Formula 1 is launching F1 TV Pro in India for the 2023 season. This new platform aims to offer fans a more immersive and dynamic Formula 1 experience. F1 TV Pro grants access to live broadcasts of all race weekends, including practice sessions, qualifying sessions, races, and sprint events. But that’s not all; it also provides special camera angles, onboard camera footage from 20 drivers, team radio channels, and in-depth race analysis. This means fans can get closer to the action than ever before.

Now, let’s talk about the all-important subscription rates for F1 TV Pro in India. As F1 fans gear up for the 2023 season, they are faced with two subscription options:

  1. Monthly Plan: Priced at ₹399 INR.
  2. Annual Plan: A one-time payment for the entire season at ₹2999 INR.

The monthly plan offers flexibility for those who prefer a pay-as-you-go approach, while the annual plan offers substantial savings for dedicated fans committed to following the entire F1 season.

One of the key questions on the minds of potential subscribers is whether multiple users can share a single F1 TV Pro account. The answer is yes, but with a catch. F1 TV Pro allows for up to six devices to be registered under a single account. However, the live streaming of races will be available on only one device at a time.

Why F1 TV Pro in India?

The decision to launch F1 TV Pro in India stems from the country’s booming online streaming space. India is a connected market, with a strong mobile presence and an increasing appetite for digital content. Formula One believes that it’s a market ripe for digital rights content through non-traditional channels and platforms. While Formula One did explore traditional broadcast options, they found that the traditional platforms didn’t value their rights as they expected.

F1 TV Pro represents a new era for Formula 1 fans in India. While it may come at a cost, it also brings with it exciting features and an immersive viewing experience that many fans have longed for. As the 2023 season revs up, fans will need to decide which subscription plan suits their needs and budgets. The thrill of Formula 1 racing continues, and now, it’s up to the fans in India to decide how they want to be part of it.
