NorthEast United have announced a new contract for their star youngster Parthib Gogoi, with the player signing a deal until 2027. He has shown immense potential for the club since last year, and has already taken the league by storm, scoring three screamers from outside the box in 23/24 already.
The Assam-born player has now become a mainstay in their line-up, and is expected to be one of the pillars of their future project. However, things didn’t come easy for the 20-year-old since he had to battle several injury setbacks to work his way back into the first team fold.

“Deeply honoured & thrilled to continue my journey with NorthEast United. This club has become my second home. I’m grateful for the opportunities it has provided me & I’m eager to contribute more to the team & make our fans proud,” Parthib Gogoi wrote on his official social media page after the renewal was announced.
The Highlanders head coach Juan Pedro Bengali has given the youngster the freedom to roam while attacking. And he has repaid his manager’s faith immensely with his eye-catching goals.
Gogoi recently made it to the under-23 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers and will be hopeful of making it to the senior team soon. But, while he faces significant competition from other established players in the senior team, he has ample time to hone his skills and force his way into the team down the line.
