The standard Redmi K70 model has recently received 3C certification in China, which has unveiled the model number and details about fast charging in advance of its official announcement.
The Upcoming Redmi K70 Series
The 3C certification for the Redmi K70 confirms the model number as 2311DRK48C. It is expected that this handset will support 5G network connectivity. Notably, the Redmi K70 is set to support rapid charging of up to 90W. While this certification has provided these details, it does not disclose any other hardware specifications.
The Redmi K70 series is poised to follow the Redmi K60 lineup, and its official launch in China is expected in the initial week of December, in line with the MIUI 15 software internal code. All three phones in this series are likely to come with Android 14-based MIUI 15 custom software and support for 5G network connectivity.
As for the specific hardware, it’s anticipated that the Redmi K70 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, the Pro variant may feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and the Redmi K70E is expected to arrive with the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC. There are rumors suggesting that the Redmi K70 Pro might be the first model in the K-series to incorporate a telephoto sensor for zooming in on images.
Recently, the Redmi K70 Pro was spotted on the Geekbench website under the model number 23117RK66C. The phone achieved a score of 1,100 points in the single-core test and 5,150 points in the multi-core test. The listing indicates that the phone will run the Android 14 operating system out of the box and have 16GB of RAM, though there may be other configuration options at launch. Additionally, the motherboard section mentions “Wall,” which could be associated with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. More details about these phones are expected to surface in the near future.
