MSI QD-OLED Next-Gen gaming monitors are getting ready for deployment

MSI is taking the market for gaming monitors seriously. According to recently disclosed information, the company is getting ready to ship at least six new QD-OLED displays in the upcoming months. According to reports, the new versions would have screen sizes ranging from 27 to 49 inches and refresh rates as high as 360Hz.

The purported information was leaked by the reputable and consistent Twitter/X user @chi11eddog, who is well-known for leaking details about MSI and other hardware-related topics. The first new model of the anticipated monitors is anticipated for November 2023 and is likely to be a member of MSI’s MPG and MAG series of product lines.

The MSI MEG 342C, which was unveiled as a rival to the Alienware 34 QD-OLED last year, is anticipated to be replaced by the MAG 341CQP, which is anticipated to be more affordable.

It has an 1800R curve and a QD-OLED display with UWQHD (3440 x 1440 pixel) resolution. It will have a 175Hz refresh rate and 15 watts of USB Type-C charging for convenience. Since the MSI MEG 342C cost $999 when it was first released, it is anticipated that the MAG 341CQP will cost less when it debuts.

According to the leak, MSI intends to expand its offering in January 2024 by announcing the MPG 491CQP. A 49-inch dual-QHD (5120 x 1440 pixels) 1800R curved QD-OLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate is anticipated, as well as a USB Type-C port with 90W charging capacity. A potential display is anticipated for CES 2024.

The MPG and MAG lines are currently developing four additional flat panel QD-OLED displays. Two 32-inch models of the MPG 321UPX with UHD (3840 x 2160 pixels) resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate will be offered. The only distinction between the two is that the USB Type-C connection will support charging at either 90W or 15W. In a similar vein, there are two 27-inch variants with WQHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution and a 360Hz refresh rate that are compatible with either 90W or 15W Type-C.

Currently, MSI’s portfolio includes two QD-OLED displays. The MEG 342C, as previously indicated, is the first. The other is the 49-inch Project 491C, winner of the CES Innovation Award, which bills itself as the first 240Hz super-ultrawide QD-OLED gaming monitor in the world.
