Players praised the original game highly for its laid-back gameplay, which offered a welcome change from the intense nature of most games. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team was one of the first entries produced in the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series. The game was published concurrently with Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team. The story from the original games remains largely unchanged, with the advancements of these games focusing primarily on graphics updates and the ability to play as a female protagonist.
