Intel’s 14th-generation Raptor Lake Refresh processors has been in news for quite a while now and we have seen multiple leaks ahead of their scheduled release next month. Now, we have a new leak and this concern the flagship Core i9-14900K, which has the greatest single-core score in Geekbench. It has also appeared in a CPU-Z benchmark, where the chip scores 8% – 10% higher than its predecessor, the Core i9-13900K.
Over the past few weeks we have seen several leaked Raptor Lake Refresh benchmark results including this one which is for the Core i5-14600K. The Core i9-14900K had also recently made an alleged appearance in the most recent Geekbench benchmarks, and over there it managed to surpass the =single-threaded record of its 13th generation counterpart and scored 3,140 points.
However, whats interesting is that the Core i9-14900K has performed worse on Geekbench 6’s multi-core test and it lagged behind not only from Core i9-13900KS but also from i9-13900K, and Ryzen 9 7950X3D.
The Core i9-14900K was evaluated using a Biostar Z790A-Silver motherboard, DDR5-4800 memory, and the Balanced power plan.
There are also reports of another leaked image of the Core i9-14900K running CPU-Z ccourtesy of VideoCardz. The image shows the chip scoring 978 points in the single-core test and 18,117.5 points in the multi-core test and it also confirms the chip having 125W TDP.
The Core i9-14900K CPU has 24 cores total which includes 8 P-cores and 16 E-cores and can be reportedly boosted from 3.2 GHz to 6.0 GHz. This is a boost in frequency of 200 MHz over the Core i9-13900K Chip. The CPU also includes a 36 MB Smart Cache, also there are rumors floating around of the chip carrying a price tag of $695, which is 15.8% higher than its predecessor.
