Everton sign Beto from Udinese for €30 million fee to reinforce attack

Everton have reached an agreement with Udinese to sign Beto on a permanent deal. The striker will make the move for a few in the region of €30-35 million including add-ons. Udinese have accepted the proposal after several rounds of negotiation, and the player will now travel to England to complete the transfer.

Since Udinese still owe Portimonense 50% of the sell-on clause, they will send half of what they receive to the Portuguese side they signed Beto from. The profit for the striker will be roughly €8 million, considering the loan fee and the €7 million buy option that was included.

The Toffees have agreed personal terms with the striker and expect him to compete with Dominic Calvert-Lewin for the centre-forward position. They also signed Arnaut Danjuma, Ashley Young and Jack Harrison to bolster their squad and are trying their best to ensure that they survive in the Premier League this time.

They are one of the favourites to finish in the relegation zone, and Sean Dyche will have a massive task on his hands considering the limited spending capacity and the condition of the squad at Goodison Park right now.

Everton will have Beto alongside Chermiti as the two centre-forwards in the squad alongside Calvert-Lewin. And it will be interesting to see whether the addition of strikers can help them score more goals in the league.
