The Uruguayan striker once again comes to the spotlight as new reports have come out that Saurez can leave Barcelona even before his contract ends in 2021. Even though Saurez scored a good goal against Bayern Munich to make the scoreline 5-2 in the second half, but eventually due to his former teammate Coutinho, the score went on to a humiliating 8-2, one of worst in the entire Barca history.
This has created a lot of rumors among the media and according to one of the reliable journalists in Uruguay, Enzo Olivera, is reporting that Saurez’s former Dutch team, Ajax are ready to make an offer for the striker. However, now it depends on Saurez and the Barca board to accept this or not but having lacked his pace from before the board would obviously love to have fresh blood in the striker position.
Also, its not any secret that the board is looking to sell more players than ever because they want to balance the sheets at the club and bring in some fresh legs as their “major changes” at the club because of the Friday’s humiliation. Not only Saurez is wanted by the Eredivisie side but also has been approached from the likes of MLS clubs like Inter Miami and Qatari side Al-Arabi.
Even though Saurez’s contract ends next summer but if, however, he plays in 60% of the team’s games, his contract will automatically get renewed, but after this humiliation, the board will surely think about it. Barcelona are even willing to sell him this summer only if they receive a suitable offer because Barcelona look forward to make some radical changes at the club, well, only time will that, what happens this summer.
