Hakim Ziyech has completed a transfer to Galatasaray from Chelsea, ending his spell with the Premier League club. The Turkish side have confirmed that the player has joined on a free loan deal with the option to make it permanent for a minor fee. They will only have to pay a certain amount in case some conditions are met.
The Moroccan was presented to the Galatasaray fans in a unique way, with the players welcoming him from the pitch and the fans doing the same from the stands. He became the latest signing for the club this summer after Wilfried Zaha, Angelino and Mauro Icardi, whose loan move was made permanent.
Hakim Ziyech joins Galatasaray on permanent transfer
The former Ajax player was signed by Chelsea following their transfer ban. He won the 2021 Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup during his time with the Blues. However, injuries hampered his progress and prevented him from securing a regular first team spot even though he showed glimpses of his brilliance.
There were reports that Hakim Ziyech had failed his medical for the move to Galatasaray too, after his transfer to Al Nassr collapsed earlier this summer. But, those have been proven false now that he has been revealed as a new signing for the Turkish giants.
