A17 Bionic: Apple may hold a special event on September 12 to unveil the new iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models, as well as the Apple Watch Series 9. The flagship iPhones will be released with a slew of modifications and new features, including a grade 5 titanium casing for the iPhone 15 Pro variants.

Additionally, the internals will be upgraded with an A17 Bionic chip manufactured on TSMC’s 3nm process. Now, a leaker has revealed the A17 Bionic chip’s core count as well as the RAM of the iPhone 15 Pro models, which will increase the device’s overall performance.

The A17 Bionic processor will have a lot of power compared to the competition because it will be the first mobile chip with a 3nm architecture to be unveiled. This means that the transistors will be densely packed together, which will likewise have a significant impact on power efficiency.

According to Twitter leaker Unknownz21, the A17 Bionic chip in the iPhone 15 Pro will have a 6-core CPU and a 6-core GPU. The increased core count will improve computational and graphical performance on iPhone ‘Pro’ models.

The current A16 Bionic processor, in comparison, has a 6-core CPU and a 5-core GPU. This indicates that the iPhone 15 Pro will perform well in graphics-intensive applications like gaming and editing. Aside from the improved GPU cores of the A17 Bionic, the leaker also mentions that the new 3nm CPU will Apple paired with 6GB RAM on the iPhone 15 Pro variants. It was originally speculated that the iPhone 15 Pro Max would have 8GB of RAM. The leaker, on the other hand, believes it is exceedingly implausible. In comparison, the iPhone 14 Pro variants have 6GB of RAM.

The A17 Bionic chip’s CPU performance will also be superior to the A16 Bionic chip, which is built on TSMC’s 3nm design. With an additional GPU core, the iPhone 15 Pro might be the best gaming phone on the market. The iPhone 15 Pro variants are rumoured to have a grade 5 titanium finish, as well as a new Action button that can be personalised based on user preferences. Aside from that, camera sensors are expected to be vastly improved, allowing for better low-light photography and video capture.
