Intel launched its Alchemist Arc A570M and Arc A530M mobile GPUs

Intel has increased its discrete mobile Arc Alchemist portfolio with two additional versions. While the Arc A570M and A530M are unlikely to compete with the greatest graphics cards, the Arc A-series duo will be found in many upcoming gaming laptops.

Last year, Intel released the bulk of its mobile Arc Alchemist graphics cards. The A770M, A730M, A550M, A370M, and A350M are among the models that have been announced. The Arc A570M and A530M, both of which employ the PCIe 4.0 x8 interface, have been added to the surviving Arc A500M series. Intel, as usual, did not make a big deal out of the introduction.

Intel did not reveal the silicon used in the Arc A570M or A530M. The chipmaker did, however, reveal that the graphics cards’ device IDs are 0x5696 and 0x5697, respectively.

The Arc A570M and A530M appear to be using the ACM-G12 (DG2-256) silicon, which was first released with the Arc Pro A60 and Arc Pro A60M, according to a Mesa driver (via Bionic_Squash). The ACM-G12 silicon still has some unknowns, such as the size of the die and the number of transistors. So far, we know that the ACM-G12 die contains 16 Xe cores.

The Arc A570M has 16 Xe cores, which is equivalent to 256 execution units, making it the same configuration as the Arc A550M but having different silicon. It has a comparable number of XMX and Xe Vector Engines. The Arc A570M also includes 16 ray tracing units. The Arc A570M has a TGP between 75W and 95W with a clock speed of 1,300 MHz. In some ways, the Arc A570M is a faster Arc A550M.

Meanwhile, the Arc A530M has a smaller ACM-G10 silicon with only 12 Xe cores, which is four fewer than the Arc A550M. There are 192 execution units, XMX Engines, and Xe Vector Engines in the setup. Intel specified the Arc A530M with a TGP ranging from 65W to 95W and the same clock speed as the Arc A570M.

The memory configurations for the Arc A570M and A530M were not disclosed by Intel. The Arc A550M has 6GB of 14 Gbps GDDR6 RAM. The Arc A550M has 224 GB/s of memory bandwidth but is limited by a 128-bit memory interface. As a result, the Arc A570M should have more memory bandwidth, whilst the Arc A530M will most likely have less. The actual figure will not be revealed until Intel updates the product websites.

When Intel first announced the mobile Arc A-series, there were just five SKUs: Arc A350M, A370M, A550M, A730M, and A770M. Since then, the chipmaker has added the Arc A530M and A570M. Unless there’s a lot of leftover Alchemist silicon that Intel needs to get rid of, Intel could be better off focusing on the next-generation graphics card.
