Manchester United have submitted a verbal proposal to Atalanta to sign Rasmus Hojlund. Their offer is worth €60 million in total, with €50 million upfront and the rest available in add-ons. However, it might not be enough for the club to part ways with the talented youngster.
According to reports from Italy, La Dea want around €70 million for Hojlund, and are expected to reject the opening offer. The 20-year-old has been identified as the top target for the club in the striker position, and they are expected to go all-in to sign him after wrapping up the deal for Andre Onana from Inter Milan.
Manchester United make opening Rasmus Hojlund offer
United aren’t the only club interested in signing Hojlund this summer, with PSG also circling. However, the Premier League club are ahead as they have agreed personal terms with the player as well.
Even if the opening verbal offer is rejected, the Red Devils will be back with an improved offer in order to get their target. They were linked with Harry Kane, Victor Osimhen and Dusan Vlahovic as well, but have been priced out of a transfer for all players.
Having scored 9 goals and provided four assists in 32 games in his debut season, the Dane has impressed a lot of people. And it seems increasingly likely that he will be making a move to a bigger club this summer.
Whether that is Manchester United or PSG remains to be seen now, with Atalanta yet to accept any offers for their talented young striker.
