Exynos chips are coming back with Samsung Galaxy S23 FE and Galaxy S24

Exynos chips are coming back as we have been hearing rumours for months about a deca-core Exynos 2400 CPU that will power some Galaxy S24 devices next year. The Galaxy S23 FE model, which is expected to be released later this year, is also reported to use Exynos chips. A new credible report has arrived to validate these long-standing rumours.

According to Pocket-lint, Samsung is sticking with its own Exynos chips for the next Galaxy S23 FE, which is expected to launch later this year.

While the specific chip was not mentioned in the report, Geekbench recently listed the smartphone with the older Exynos 2200. The S23 FE units shipping to the US, on the other hand, may include a Qualcomm processor, likely the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.

According to the story, which cites sources, Samsung will return to Exynos chips for the top S24 series, which will be released next year. The latest Galaxy S23 variants are all powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy CPU that has been overclocked. According to Pocket-lint, the Exynos Galaxy S24 may be limited to Europe, while the Snapdragon models may still be available in the US.

The Exynos 2400 chip is shaping up to be a formidable competitor to Qualcomm’s impending Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The GPU on this chip is said to have four times the computing units of the Exynos 2200’s Xclipse 920. The CPU benchmark scores (multi-core) are said to be 20% higher than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2’s.
