Fulham are set to complete the signing of Calvin Bassey from Ajax. The Premier League club will be paying a sum worth €21 million for the player, and the deal is set to be completed soon.

Bassey has agreed a long-term contract with Fulham, and Ajax have included a sell-on clause in his deal. Which means that they will be entitled to a percentage of any future fee that the Cottages receive for him.

The defender has spent only one year with Ajax after signing from Rangers. He has four years remaining on his deal with the club, but is likely to move on now that the two clubs have a deal in place. In 39 games for the Dutch side, he scored once and provided five assists.

Calvin Bassey to sign for Fulham alongside Mohammed Salisu

After completing the signing of Calvin Bassey from Ajax, Fulham will turn their attention to Southampton defender Mohammed Salisu. The Cottagers want to bolster their defence after their successful season in 22/23, and have identified Salisu as one of the suitable candidates to join them.

A bid worth £15 million has been sent to the Saints, who are offloading players after their relegation last season. And the transfer looks likely to go through once the player gives the green light as well.

Fulham could part ways with Aleksander Mitrovic, who has a massive offer from Saudi Arabia, which would cause them to enter the market for a new striker this summer.
