Vodafone Idea has recently introduced the ‘Vi Smartphone Program’ and as part of this program, the telecom operator is providing a recharge discount of Rs 2,400 for Vodafone Idea users’ smartphones. According to the information listed on the telco’s website, all Vi users can enjoy a monthly discount of Rs 100 on Vi Hero recharges of Rs 299 and above for the next 24 months through the Vi App.
As per the information provided in the listing, the ‘Vi Smartphone Program’ offer applies to two categories of users. Firstly, it is available to all existing Vodafone Idea users who decide to upgrade their smartphones to 4G/5G devices. Secondly, non-Vi users who own a 4G/5G smartphone can also participate in the program by purchasing a Vi SIM.
It’s important to note that the 4G/5G smartphone should not have been previously connected to the Vodafone Idea (Vi) network in the last 6 months.
Once eligible users insert the Vodafone Idea (Vi) SIM into their smartphone, they will receive a welcome SMS within 24 hours, containing all the necessary details about the Rs 2,400 recharge discount.
Similary, in collaboration with India’s second-largest telecom company, Bharti Airtel, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Poco India released the Poco C51, an affordable 4G smartphone, on July 14. The Poco C51 will come pre-locked with Airtel Prepaid connections and will be exclusively available on Flipkart for the price of Rs 5,999. Interested buyers can purchase the device starting from July 18.
Poco has announced that Airtel prepaid customers who purchase the Poco C51 will receive a one-time benefit of 50GB mobile data from Airtel. For non-Airtel customers who want to take advantage of this offer, they can choose to have an Airtel SIM delivered to their doorstep with instant activation.
