Aaron Ramsey has returned to Cardiff City, signing a two-year contract with them upon his exit from Ligue 1 side Nice. The midfielder spent this past season in France, and has moved on following the end of his one-year deal with the club. Now, he has returned back home to be closer to his family.

First team manager Erol Bulut was keen on bringing the player back, and his return has now been confirmed by the club. Ramsey made his debut for Cardiff aged 16, at the end of the 2006/07 campaign. He featured regularly in the following season and his impressive performances helped him seal a move to Arsenal in 2008.

Juventus Aaron Ramsey

In 2019, the Wales international moved to Juventus as a free agent after leaving Arsenal, ending an eleven year spell with the North London side. However, his spell with the Bianconeri was mostly inconsistent. He was loaned out to Rangers for the second half of the 2021/22 season, and moved to Nice shortly after.

Cardiff City are currently under a transfer ban, for defaulting on the £15 million payment of Emiliano Sala. However, this doesn’t apply to free agent deals and it now remains to be seen whether any other free agents will follow Aaron Ramsey through the in door this summer.
