Bengaluru FC have signed five players from the India U-17 team to prepare their squad for the future. Ricky Meetei, Malemngamba Singh, Surajkumar Singh, Manjot Singh Dhami and Shashwat Panwar have been signed by the club. All the players have signed three year contracts.

Only a few days ago, Bengaluru FC confirmed Bibiano Fernandes as their new reserves head coach. And his students have followed him to the new club, as was expected from the new change in management.

Apart from Manjot Singh Dhami, who was injured, all the other players were involved at the U-17 AFC Asian Cup held recently. They all produced impressive displays, and will have a great environment to grow at the Bengaluru FC setup. With the Indian Arrows project no longer in the works, a top club like Bengaluru FC can act as a substitute.

Bibiano Fernandes was most recently the coach of the India U-17 team, before signing a three-year contract with Bengaluru. And now, he will be expected to lead the youngsters at the club and mould them into first team players down the line.

The first team has been busy in its own transfer activity, signing Salam Johnson Singh, Slavko Damjanovic, Halicharan Narzary, Rohit Danu and Vikram Lahkbir Singh.
