Arda Güler has quickly become one of the highest rated youngsters in Turkey, following his impressive performances. The youngster plays for Fenerbahce, having come through their academy, and is putting all of Europe on notice with his recent displays.
Aged only 18, he has been nicknamed the Turkish Messi for his similarities to the Argentine icon. Several clubs like Real Madrid, Benfica, Newcastle United and Tottenham are interested in signing the player soon, and are keeping tabs on his situation on the transfer market.

The Fenerbahce midfielder was born in 2005, and now wears the number 10 kit for his club. He came through the Fenerbahce youth academy, representing them at the U16 and U19 levels before being promoted to the first team in 2021.
This season, the youngster made 35 appearances across all competitions and scored six goals while providing seven assists. And it is safe to assume that his output will only increase in the coming years, should he continue to go on the trajectory he is currently on.
Güler isn’t the most physically imposing player on the field, standing at a modest 1.76 m height. However, he has a very skillful left foot, and can play out on the right wing as well.
He has already earned four international caps for the Turkiye national team, scoring one goal so far. Prior to the senior team, he represented his country at the U-17 level, earning 10 caps and scoring four goals.

The 18-year-old has a contract with Fenerbahce until 2025, with a release clause worth €17.5 million. There are several clubs who have been put on alert due to the relatively low value of the exit clause. But, an agreement with the player will be necessary for any kind of transfer to go through. And so far, nothing has been agreed yet.
This past season has seen Arda Güler raise his transfer market value from €4 million to €15 million. And in the process, becoming one of the top ten most valuable players in the Turkish league.
The likelihood of him securing a move this very summer seems low since he is still quite unproven. Another season in Turkiye should allow him to develop further, and mould him into a much more valuable player to make the move to a top European league next year.
