Sony Pays ₹4 Crore for Rights to Stream India’s Blockbuster International Friendly Matches against Panama, Brazil & Uruguay

Indian football fans are in for a landmark month, as the senior men’s national team gears up for three high-profile international friendlies against Panama, Brazil, and Uruguay — headlined by a historic first-ever meeting with the five-time World Cup champions on home soil.

The Fixture Schedule

A Massive Broadcasting Deal

According to reports, Sony Sports Network has paid approximately ₹4 crore to secure the broadcasting and streaming rights for all three friendlies — a significant commercial win for the All India Football Federation (AIFF) as it looks to capitalise on what could be one of the biggest windows in Indian football history.

Where to Watch

Fans can catch all the action live on Sony Sports Network, SonyLIV, and Sony Sports Ten, with tickets available through the District app by Zomato.

Why This Window Matters

Hosting Brazil for the first time is a monumental moment for Indian football, coming alongside a dense October schedule that also features the India Legends vs Brazil Legends exhibition match in Kochi. With Kolkata set to host two of the three fixtures at Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan, the eastern metropolis is poised to become the epicentre of Indian football this season.

For a federation continuing to build its commercial base post-FSDL, deals like this broadcasting agreement signal growing interest and financial momentum for the sport in India.
