Samsung Announces Top 30 Teams of Solve for Tomorrow 2023; Next Generation of Indian Innovators to Get Trained by IIT Delhi

In its second year, Samsung India has partnered with the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology’s (MeitY) Startup Hub and the Foundation for Innovation & Technology Transfer (FITT) at IIT Delhi for the CSR program.

The top 30 teams represent 15 states and 1 union territory of India, with ideas focused on various themes including Education & Learning (44%), Environment & Sustainability (23%), Diversity & Inclusion (20%), and Health & Wellness (13%).

These teams have proposed innovative solutions to real-world problems such as converting seawater into potable water, skilling of youth, improving the efficiency of solar panels, and addressing gender bias in STEM fields.

The top 30 teams will receive online training on design thinking and innovation, along with mentorship from Samsung, FITT at IIT Delhi, and MeitY Startup Hub. They will also receive INR 20,000 each to create initial prototypes and pitch their ideas to a jury. The jury will then select the top 10 teams for the finale.

The top 30 teams will have the opportunity to visit Samsung India offices, R&D centers, design center, and Samsung Opera House in Bengaluru to interact with employees and researchers.

Each member of the top 30 teams will receive a prize package that includes a Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 laptop, Galaxy Buds2 Pro, and a certificate for attending the bootcamp.

The program will culminate with the announcement of three winners who will have the chance to win INR 1.5 crore in prize money and exciting Samsung products.

Solve for Tomorrow was first launched in the US in 2010 and is now operational in 63 countries worldwide, with over 2.3 million young participants globally.
