Honor releases its new entry-level smartphone in India, named Honor 9S. It is launched without any support of Google, which means you will not get Google Play Store or any other Google apps in it.
The phone has a 5.4-inch (13.8 cm) HD FullView display that has TūV Rheinland certification, e-book mode, and more facilities. A MediaTek Helio P22 processor and 2GB of RAM are managing the smartphone’s performance, and for storage, there is a 32GB space inside. You can expand it up to 512GB using the MicroSD card. There is an 8MP rear camera along with a flash, and a 5MP camera at the front.
Coming to the software part, Honor 9S is running on Android 10. Generally, it has Dark Mode support. To maintain the phone’s security you can set a Face Unlock in it, as there is no fingerprint sensor. No to worry about low lighting, you can also unlock your phone with it. Instead of the Play Store, you will get Huawei’s AppGallery in it. And as a replacement for Google Search, you have to use Petal Search.
Very few left to discuss, like the battery capacity. The phone carries a 3020mAh battery inside. It doesn’t have a hybrid SIM slot, so you can insert two nano SIMs and a MicroSD card altogether. Lastly, it has 4G VoLTE support.
Two color variants are available in the market – Black and Blue. Each of them is priced Rs. 5,999 and will be available on Flipkart from 6th August.
