According to leaked information from the French publication Dealabs, the Redmi 12 will feature a plastic body and frame, with dimensions of approximately 168.60mm x 76.28mm x 8.17mm and a weight of around 199 grams. Powering the device will be a substantial 5000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging out of the box. It will also come equipped with a USB Type-C port and a dual-SIM card slot.
The front of the Redmi 12 is rumored to showcase a tall 6.79-inch IPS TFT display with a Full HD+ resolution of 2460×1080 pixels. The screen boasts a pixel density of 396 PPI and incorporates a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for added protection against accidental drops and scratches. Notably, the display will support refresh rates of up to 90Hz, thanks to Xiaomi’s AdaptiveSync refresh rate technology, which enables automatic switching between 30, 48, 60, or 90Hz based on the displayed content.
The Redmi 12 is anticipated to have a MediaTek Helio G88 SoC onboard. It is anticipated to come in a 4GB RAM variant paired with 128GB of storage. Additionally, users will have the option to expand the storage capacity up to 1TB using a microSD card.
