India’s one of the rich telecom industries Reliance and Warner Bros have come to an agreement. It seems that have taken the initiative to make well-known Hollywood productions available on JioCinema. After this collaboration between Reliance’s Viacom18 and Warner Bros, several popular shows like Game of Thrones, Succession, and the future Harry Potter series are going to be available on JioCinema soon.
Previously, we have seen that the HBO content was accessible on the Disney+ Hotstar app along with the collaboration by maintaining the two streaming services it brings a pause stop on March 31.
HBO Movies and Shows on JioCinema
We are assuming that Jio Cinema is streaming Succession Season 4 on its platform. As [per the updates of the Reddit community India Entertainment has claimed that HBO Original season 4 of Succession is going to be available on the Jio Cinema app. Currently, this is in the testing phase for the HBO content broadcasting on the Jio Cinema, as one cannot play the content on the app. The application gas described that the show provides a brief update of the show but it is not playing right now.
How JioCinema and HBO Affect OTT Landscape?
The dealing between JioCinema and Warner Bros is going to be very fruitful as the highly anticipated key firms like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Disney Hotstar are all engaged in the catfight for a bigger portion of the Indian streaming market at this moment. JioCinema has started to expand its user base and solidify its place as one of India’s top streaming services with the help of this new alliance.
We have noticed that the streaming service can anticipate a surge in users, like what happened to Disney+ Hotstar when it began offering HBO programming.
The contract can cover new and upcoming seasons of the critically acclaimed HBO series House of the Dragon, The Last of Us, Succession, and The White Lotus, as well as returning seasons of Perry Mason, True Detective: Night Country, Euphoria, Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty, and The Last of Us. The agreement includes the much anticipated HBO Original Series The Idol, White House Plumbers, The Sympathiser, and The Regime. We wish Jio Cinema may soon kick off the streaming along with the original shows from HBO, Warner Brothers, and Max Original.
