The All-New Dimensity 7050 processor by MediaTek

The debut of Dimensity 7050, the newest 5G chipset from MediaTek, a leading fabless semiconductor manufacturer, has been announced. The chip is made to deliver great gaming and camera skills to smartphone users, as well as long-lasting battery life and cutting-edge 5G connection.

Indian smartphone maker Lava is the first OEM to work with MediaTek to power its upcoming Lava Agni 2 5G device, which will use the Dimensity 7050 CPU among other components.

Features of Dimensity 7050

The MediaTek HyperEngine gaming improvements are one of the main characteristics of the Dimensity 7050. To reduce online ping and provide gamers an advantage in online gaming, the device with integrated 5G HSR mode will actively look for and connect to the lowest latency possible cell tower. Gamers can continue playing their game while simultaneously taking a call on the second SIM thanks to the sophisticated networking engine’s call and data concurrency.

In addition to offering improved performance, quick app response, and fluid gaming, the Arm Mali-G68 graphics engine and octa-core CPU with two Arm Cortex-A78 processors clocked up to 2.6 GHz extend battery life for longer gaming sessions.

The Dimensity 7050 not only has gaming capabilities but also advanced Imagiq camera technologies, supporting 200MP main cameras and a variety of hardware-based camera engines and premium noise reduction techniques built into the chip to produce larger, brighter, and sharper photos. While the MediaTek APU 550 supports a number of AI camera improvements, the dedicated 4K HDR video capture engine can record and stream video that is bright and sharp in all lighting conditions.

Additionally, the chipset has full HD+ displays up to 120Hz and MediaTek MiraVision display and video enhancements. With the help of MediaTek Intelligent Refresh Rate Display technology, businesses can offer all the advantages of ultra-fast refresh rate displays to their customers. Faster, more dependable internet connections are made possible by Wi-Fi 6 with 2×2 MIMO.

Additionally, Bluetooth 5 and GNSS are built right into the wireless connectivity, which uses less power than other external chip options. Users have additional options with Dimensity 7050’s dual 5G SIM (SA+SA) that supports premium VoNR voice and video call services over both connections.
