The financial accounts of PSG aren’t having a favourable time, rather a negative balance sheet is seen in the club. The French team is suffering more spending than earnings which has eventually led to a significant problem in their cash flow. And a team where a trio of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe is present, maintaining that team can indeed be difficult in this consequences.
What does data say about PSG?
Data hasn’t been in favour of the Ligue 1 giants as they state that in the 2021/22 season Paris Saint Germain, it has a deficit of 368 million euros. Reports also state that PSG has spent a total of spent 729 million euros on staff remuneration, i.e. salaries. And concerning this salary thing, a significant part of it has been in the pockets of Gianluigi Donnarumma, Sergio Ramos, Achraf Hakimi and Messi, who joined the team in the summer of 2021.
In addition to that, PSG also spent over 180m euros on transfers that season, out of which 147.3 were for footballers’ transfers and 39.4 for agents’ and intermediaries’ fees, say reports. PSG, in terms of revenue, generated a total of  669.6 million. Broken down by item, 139m were from audiovisual rights, 377m from sponsors and advertising, 57m from match revenue and 96m from other sources.
The impact on their performance
Though PSG isn’t having a good time in terms of money, but their performance has been intact. In their recent games against Nice, Lens, and Angers, they have earned the victory with ease. It seems like the poor financial condition hasn’t affected their game on the pitch, and that is indeed a very good sign for the club. They have their upcoming games against Lorient and Troyes and are expected to perform well.
